The "BikeClub" News

Bikers,

Attached is the most recent draft of the summer 2002 schedule. Adi is already working night and day to organize the first trip which will take place two weekends from now.

You will note that the schedule has names of participants for each trip with 'stricken-out' names. If you know that your schedule does not allow you to participate in a certain weekend, please notify me and I'll strike you out. If too many people are stricken out on a single weekend, we'll postpone or cancel the trip.

The schedule also designates trip-organizers. If you are especially familiar with an area, feel free to swap with someone else. No weekends were designated to Alon, Tal&Amnon, Dudu, Maya&Tal or Tamir. If you are joining more than one or two trips, you are welcome to choose from the trips which were not yet assigned (the ones that say "Yael & Oren").

Trip-organizers decide on everything relating to their assigned trips, including when to leave (evening before or early morning), type of trip (with camping? hiking? etc.), route (please bring copies of maps with meeting points for all), type of accommodations (if someone insists on having a private room, organizer will try to accommodate), reservation at accommodations chosen, etc. Trip-organizers should notify at least a week in advance whether it is necessary to leave work early on Friday and whether any special gear is needed. If weather is shaky, trip-organizers should check with all if postponing trip in one week is possible or if doable, to shorten the trip to one day. If someone is joining with a car, the trip-organizer should notify everyone to allow taking more friends or baggage.

During the weekends Yael and I are not available, the bike will be at the disposal of any of you who would like to use it.

On a separate note and pursuant with resolution 4.0 of the Burekas Convention we need to replace the name of the Garbage Bunch.  How about simply "Bike Club" (al mishkal fight club)?

Kisses,

O

HI ALL

The "bike club" is going for it's first trip to Lancaster County on 4/20.
I decided that we shouldn't do the first trip too heavy,
so we will leave on Sat. 4/20 7:30am for one night (instead of Fri. afternoon)
I think it's better not to go to Philadelphia (it's too heavy for 2 day trip)
I need to do reservations as soon as possible
so any of you who want to join this trip (by bike or car)
pleas reply with # of people.
If you insist on private room (with extra charge) , I will try to get it.
Adi
